If you only have two nights in Stowe during the summer – these are our top recommendations.
While you are out and about – there are about 12 breweries within 12 miles of the house. Check out the article (here) for the list and try to add them into your travels in Stowe.

This is a must stop. Plan to walk into the creek (to the right) in order to access the full waterfall and swim in the pools. It’s one of the best waterfalls and very easy to access. You can do a complete trip to the falls in less than 30 minutes round-trip. We recommend bringing water shoes and towels.

This is a great way to start the day. The bike path is 5.3 miles in each direction and criss-crosses the river with bridges. There are many stops along the path to stop and have lunch or take in the views. If you need to rent a bike – there are several places on the bike path. A couple we have used are AJ’s and Pinnacle Sports. They also have e-bikes available. If you are looking for mountain biking – Stowe has more than 50 miles of trails for all levels – check out this article for more information.

The gondola sky ride makes for a great afternoon. It runs about $35 for adults and $24 for kids, however if you can walk up yourself you get a free ride down. If you take the hike, reward yourself with a nice meal at the Cliff House Restaurant with beautiful views of mountain ranges all the way to New Hampshire.
If that isn’t your thing – you can also drive up to the top of the mountain for about $29 on the Toll Road.

If you’d rather relax and unwind – book any services at the Spruce Peak spa and you will also get access to the pool, hot tubs, fitness center and so on. The pool has a bar and food delivery to kick back and relax.

The world headquarters is about 10 miles from the house. They provide factory tours and it’s a great way to finish a day. You can also check out the “Flavor Graveyard” to pay respects to the dearly de-pinted.

This is open (rain or shine) from May 15 to October 9th on Sundays from 10:30am to 3:00pm. It’s a great place to check out all of the local farms and vendors. This is a perfect place to grab breakfast on the way home or a quick lunch.

If you’d like to kayak, canoe, or paddle board – we’d suggest one of two spots. The Waterbury Reservoir is a great spot and this is close to Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream if you are planning a stop.
For pizza fanatics – we would suggest water activities in Lake Elmore in Elmore, VT. The added benefit is my favorite pizza shop called FireTower Pizza. They use local ingredients to serve up one of the best pizza’s in the country. They have a deck out back or you can snag some picnic tables in the area. Grab some cold brews at the general store on the way out.
